On the heels of the controversy set forth upon the closing of
Kooks Burritos,
a "shit list" was published that listed over 60 Portland
restaurants owned by white people, along with suggestions of People
of Color-owned businesses that should be frequented instead.
Nick Zukin's Mi Mero Mole appeared on the list of businesses that people should avoid.
Carlo Lamagna, an American-born Filipino, who is Executive Chef at Clyde Common and the future Magna, recently opened and subsequently closed a taco restaurant with a white partner.
